Art has been revolutionized by digital creation and distribution, and that has completely disrupted the business, taking away some jobs and opening up others. James Gurney's illustrated lecture examines the technical, economic and social forces in practical terms for working artists, with suggestions on how creatives can adapt to them. Gurney will explore the pros and cons of working for others vs. working for yourself, how to turn people who steal your content into your biggest allies and what happens when you cut out the middleman. He will share tips for making social media work for you.
