Co-hosted by the Consulate General of Austin with the School of Design and Creative Technologies and the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Austin, 'The House' is a virtual reality headset experience developed by Big Telly Theatre Company using research conducted by the Commission for Victims and Survivors in Northern Ireland. It addresses the legacy of the Conflict/Troubles in Northern Ireland within families and communities to stimulate discussion on the intergenerational impact of politically motivated violence.
Attendees can book slots to experience 'The House' at the following times:
2-3pm
3-4pm
5:15- 6:15pm Big Telly Theatre, based in Northern Ireland, will screen the experience for the audience, before a discussion on peacemaking and the arts.
