Becauseisms: 2023 Design M.F.A. Exhibition

Becauseisms 2023 Design MFA Senior Exhibition

About Becauseisms

We are a group of multi-disciplinary, multi-generational designers from diverse backgrounds. Becauseisms expresses emotional, societal, and personal provocations. The work is a reflection of our optimism and intention through design. We design because: clothing creates space for healing, home manifests in many ways, design can do harm, objects create connection, games drive rehabilitation, and knowledge empowers change. The work captures each of our "whys" with the response of because ___________.

Meet the Designers

Meet current and past cohorts of M.F.A. students boldly tackling the challenges of today to design a better future in the M.F.A. Student Directory.
