Why did you choose your major?

When I heard about AET being formed, I was excited. I chose AET because I've always had a love for video games, anime, and manga since I was a kid. It made me want to learn how to animate, learn web development to spice up my super cool Neopets page, and also learn how games are made. AET gives us that chance.

What's been your biggest surprise in your program?

It's crazy to see how programs have the ability to allow us to create what some people create. Also, the amount of talent of some students in the program, it's crazy. ( & other people in this major like to play dating sims too, yay I'm not weird)

What project are you most proud of during your time at UT, and why?

Probably my 2D Capstone game because it's cool and we actually made a fun, little game!

What do you hope to do after graduation?

Hopefully work at a game or technology company here in Austin, and maybe eventually become a Product manager.

Any advice for incoming freshmen in AET?

Honestly, use your free time to work on what you really want to learn and love. If you don't know how to code and wish you did, start learning through the internet! Join EGaDS if you want to do games, take advantage of all these cool opportunities and resources that are literally being handed to you and at your fingertips. But have fun.
