Communications Associate
Grace is a communications and design professional with a background in visual storytelling, digital strategy, and arts-focused education. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in International Relations and Global Studies, with a concentration in Culture, Media, and the Arts.
Since her time on the Forty Acres, Grace has worked in roles across Texas and Uganda. Before transitioning fully into communications, she taught middle school and high school art, building a strong foundation in creative problem-solving, visual literacy, and audience-centered thinking.
In her current role, Grace coordinates day-to-day work across the School of Design and Creative Technologies’ social media platforms and website, supporting content development, publishing, and ongoing updates. Her work also includes promotional and digital design in support of events, programs, and other initiatives.
Outside of work, Grace is usually deep into an arts & crafts project (probably sewing), taking photography walks, hosting board game nights with friends, going to yoga classes, hiking with her husband, or embracing the unpredictability of what she calls “chaos baking.”
