The School of Design and Creative Technologies hosted its first Career Jam this week and invited more than a dozen employers to connect with Design and Arts and Entertainment Technologies students.

“Our students are incredibly talented, and we’re so proud to have the opportunity to introduce them to these companies,” said Doreen Lorenzo, Assistant Dean of the School of Design and Creative Technologies. “We want to give these students every opportunity possible to set them up for success as the future leaders of the creative economy.”

More than 100 students were divided into two tracks, each with a different set of employers, and participated in rotating round-table discussions with each employer in their track. Companies discussed career opportunities in their respective fields, and students had the opportunity to ask questions and network with prospective employers.

Participating employers included USAA Design, McKinsey Design, RGA, Facebook, T3, Fjord, frog design, Mixer Design, argodesign, SubVRsive, Electronic Arts, thirteen23 and Foda.
